We are excited to announce Kim Gammond as our new Executive Director

Kim brings her extensive experience in community engagement, her understanding of local topics and leadership abilities as we continue to provide opportunities for civil dialog about issues vital to our community.

Kim will assume her role as the Executive Director of City Club of Central Oregon on September 20, 2021.

“Kim has deep roots in Central Oregon, is well respected by so many people – and, importantly – values the role of representing different viewpoints and voices,” said City Club Board President Blair Garland. “City Club has grown to become a cornerstone of the community and Kim has the vision and organizational leadership skills to take us to the next level.”

Kim is currently the Communications and Public Affairs Director for the Central Oregon Association of REALTORS managing the association’s communication strategy with members and the public. She is a proud graduate of Bend Senior High School, she continued her education at the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science and Master of Science in Communication from Purdue University.

Prior to her work at COAR, Kim spent ten years working in fundraising and event management at the Pacific Forest Trust, the High Desert Museum and her own company, Specialized Events.

This past year, she presented on topics such as, “Communicating through COVID” to the National Association of Realtors as well as speaking on the status of the local real estate to the Bend Chamber of Commerce. She is a previous recipient of Accomplished Under 40 from Cascade Business News and has received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Redmond City Council for her work on the Redmond Centennial.

Kim is deeply involved in our community here in Central Oregon, having served on the Bend2030/EnvisionBend Leadership Alliance, Bend Midmarket Housing Workgroup Steering Committee, Bend Livability Conference Steering Committee, OSU-Cascades Community Integration Committee and as University of Oregon Alumni Chapter President. Additionally, she is a charter member of the City Club of Central Oregon and served on both the membership and program committees.

“The City Club board wishes to publicly thank Joey Drucker, City Club of Central Oregon’s current executive director, for her 10 years of service in leading the organization,” said Blair Garland, City Club President. “City Club is in such a strong position now because of her work.”

Joey retires at the end of October 2021, and we look forward to seeing her as an active member throughout our community!
