Systems West Engineers is pleased to announce the promotion of Brian Barks PE, CCP, BCxP and Joseph Iaccarino, PE, CEM, LEED AP BD+C as Associate Principals of the firm! Brian has been with Systems West since 2015 and Joe since 2019.
Brian embodies the values of pursuing excellence and serving our clients. Brian’s impact is often seen through his relationship-driven mindset, commissioning knowledge and teamwork, and conviction to getting the job done right. He uses his industry knowledge as a vessel for impact outside of project work, serving as a member of the exam committee for the Building Commissioning Certification Board, participating on the Bend-La Pine Schools sustainability committee, and sharing his passion with future engineering students at his alma mater, Oregon State University-Cascades.
Joe works to ensure our team helps to sustain the environment and consistently be responsible. As the leader of our Energy division and interdisciplinary Advanced Design Team, Joe aims to find solutions to meet project sustainability goals, supporting our entire community. His efforts have elevated our energy services and continually works to carve out a niche service line supporting our greater company goals. Joe is often creating relationships 1-on-1 or investing in our team through knowledge sharing and creative collaboration to help elevate all of us here at SWE and across the industry.
