Donations embrace the credit union’s philosophy of people helping people
Mid Oregon Credit Union, the only locally headquartered financial institution in Central Oregon, proudly announces its charitable donations of $56,000 to local healthcare and education initiatives in the last quarter of 2024. These donations highlight the credit union’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Central Oregon communities it serves.
The contributions include:
-
- • $25,000 to La Pine Community Healthcare Center: Donation supports the expansion of healthcare services, improving access to essential medical care for the residents of south Deschutes County.
- • $10,000 for St. Charles Health ICU Tower Expansion: This donation marks the final installment of a five-year, $50,000 pledge made in 2019, supporting the expansion of St. Charles Health’s ICU tower. This expansion proved critical during the pandemic and continues to serve the community.
- • $10,000 to OSU-Cascades: Donation supports educational programs at OSU-Cascades, helping shape the future professionals who will drive Central Oregon’s expanding business community.
- • $11,000 in grants to 22 Title 1 schools: Mid Oregon awarded $500 grants to 22 Central Oregon schools that serve higher populations of families experiencing poverty. These unrestricted funds allow each school to allocate the money where it is most needed.
“Service to our community and support for education are core values of Mid Oregon,” said Kevin Cole, President and CEO. “We’re proud to play a role in the growth and wellbeing of Central Oregon, offering resources that empower our community to access the tools and vital resources they need to thrive.”
