This prestigious program, which includes 35 Fellows from 22 states, is designed to develop business leaders as education and workforce champions within their communities. The Fellowship equips chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, and statewide trade associations with the necessary resources to implement meaningful change in the education and workforce pipeline, ultimately connecting learners to economic opportunities.
Hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the six-month program features both virtual and in-person workshops, covering a wide range of critical topics, including early education, K-12, college and career readiness, postsecondary education, and workforce development. Each workshop is led by nationally recognized leaders who have successfully implemented policies to drive workforce and education advancements in their communities.
“I am honored to be selected to participate in the US Chamber Business Leads Fellowship Program and learn from peers across the country. Education and workforce issues are a key part of the Chamber’s mission and policy work, and I’m excited to share what I learn with our community,” said Sara Odendahl.
“Sara will bring valuable insights and experience into the Business Leads Fellowship. She is an exceptional leader and understands what our region’s workforce needs to support a healthy economy. We are excited she will be participating in this national program.,” said Katy Brooks, CEO of the Bend Chamber.
